Zero Sips is Kenya’s home for premium non-alcoholic beverages. We curate the best dealcoholized wines, sparkling teas, zero-percent beers, and alcohol-free spirits—making mindful drinking accessible, stylish, and enjoyable. As we grow our retail presence, we are looking for a vibrant, customer-focused Retail Experience Associate to join our team.

Role Overview

The Retail Experience Associate will be the face of Zero Sips in-store and online, creating a warm, engaging environment for customers, driving sales, managing daily shop operations, and supporting digital content creation. This role is perfect for someone energetic, friendly, and passionate about excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Sales

  • Welcome customers warmly and guide them through our product range.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Conduct tastings (where applicable) and explain product features/flavours.
  • Process sales accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

2. Store Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing shop environment.
  • Receive, unpack, and arrange stock on shelves.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items promptly.
  • Track expiry dates and ensure stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Open and close the shop according to company procedures.

3. Social Media Support

  • Create simple in-store content (photos, videos, reels, product highlights).
  • Share daily updates for Instagram Stories and TikTok (with guidance).
  • Assist in responding to DMs, comments, and basic online customer queries.
  • Support content shoots when required.

4. Basic Bookkeeping

  • Record daily sales and expenses accurately.
  • Reconcile cash/Mpesa at the end of each shift.
  • Prepare simple daily/weekly sales reports.

Requirements

  • Vibrant personality with strong people skills.
  • Previous experience in retail or any customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of social media (Instagram, TikTok).
  • Basic maths and record-keeping ability.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
  • Experience with POS systems.
  • Interest in beverages, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
  • Content creation skills (photos/videos).
  • Ability to upsell and create memorable customer experiences.
